About Manuela Villa

She was my grandmother but raised me, she was my guardian.

Manuela Villa's Legacy

My grandmother was born on April 26, 1932 in La Feria, Texas. Her parents were Manuel Yanez and Rosaura Gomzalez. She married Natividad A. Villa on November 25,1950 in Roswell, New Mexico.

She recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues in January 1981, then was baptized in the name of JesusChrist on February 15,1981 at the age of 48 by Pastor Felix Luna in the Apostolic Church in Cutler, Ca. ( the Hanford church did not have a baptistry yet. )

She proceeded in death by her parents Manuel and Rosaura Yanez, her brothers Guadalupe ( lupe ) Yanez, Santos Yanez and only son Rolando Villa.

She is survived by her husband of 58 yrs, Natividad A. Villa, her sisters Josephina Longoria,Tomasita Longoria, brother Manuel Yanez and daughters Yolanda Villa,Marisela Hernandez and daughter inlaw Syvia Villa. 9 grandchildren,20 or so great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter.

She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Earlimart for the past 11 yrs. Her favorite Bible verse was Galations 2:20,
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me ; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Her favorite songs were " Que Grand es Dios " and " En Luchas Y Pruebas."

She will be missed and remembered by her children, grandchildren, friends, and church family.

She went to be with the Lord at the Delano Regional Medical Center in Delano, Ca. on July 7, 2009 at the age of 77 yrs old.
