show all On Jul 25 Donald Songras wrote a condolence to Joseph Mortz: Joe was a safe harbor and friend when i needed one. I felt that i could be there without any explanation or expectation. He was a caring man and beautiful in his emotional honesty. If jesus said, "come as you are" joe said, "all right". He cared more about caring and doing the right thing, than about what might happen to himself or what others might think. He was a brave soul. Thank you, joe for all that you gave to the world and what you gave to me. I also want to thank you for bobcat, who went long before you but for whom you kept a candle burning.
show all On Jul 09 C Spicher wrote a condolence to Joseph Mortz: Thank you uncle joe for my pet goat alvin. Your face has a smile in every memory i have of you. God bless, christine.

show all On Jun 25 Payal Brahmbhatt wrote a condolence to Gajendrabhai Brahmbhatt: we little knew that morning Dearest grandpa,
that
god was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly
in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day god called you home. You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but you are always there in our heart forever. !!!!
miss you :(----.

show all On May 05 Mark Moore wrote a condolence to Ethan Somedy: Seeing ethan's photo and reading comments brings up a lot. Ethan had his own spark of life, his own personality, voice, laughter, etc. I didn't know him well or see a lot of hime, but he mattered to me and i'm glad to have met him. His being the father of my daughter's sister involves me. So, i reach in prayer to
join others on this road of grief. There's no answer i can offer to explain anything. Yet, we can all nod in agreement, affirming each other, growing together through these times. I hope even this forum will lead to opportunities to process things, and in our sharing become closer. May i suggest we honor the site of his passing, by planting something pretty (flowers, a bush or tree)that will be an offer of our ongoing rememberance of him.
show all On Apr 27 Cindy White wrote a condolence to Ethan Somedy: Ethan and i were neighbors on good old lockhart gulch road -- just across the street -- i remember the good old days of being (for the lack of a better term) nerdy and playing dungeons and dragons -- ethan was always the dungeon master because of his incredible imagination. We were always outdoors because of the somewhat pastoral setting in the redwoods with 'the creek' running behind his house -- we were always trying to dam that thing up (invariably without success) -- used to nab some matches and try out fire making skills in the redwood forest -- u know redwood doesn't burn so well. I also fondly remember playing frisbee with john (his dad) and his friends (especially marcellus) on the street where they would try to keep the frisbee from ethan and i. We used to ride our bikes to the end of lockhart gulch, hang a right on mt. Hermon road and head on down to felton; and sometimes ride all the way to santa cruz on hwy 9 -- it was the early 70's, what can i say. And on may 25, 1977; star wars was released -- we used to save our dollars, stop by camp evers grocery and get a bottle of coke (in the bottle with a deposit) drink the coke, return the bottle; then head down to the newly opened theater and watch star wars two, sometimes three times per week (nerdy, i know. ) then i moved away to high school in san jose and unfortunately we lost touch. I had a feeling earlier today that 'you know, i should look up ethan online to see if i can touch bases with him'. I was deeply saddened when the story that came up when searching for him stated that he had passed away last month. My deepest condolences to the family and friends; i'm sure he will be missed.
show all On Apr 25 Cindy White wrote a condolence to Ethan Somedy: Ethan and i went to school together in 6,7 and 8th grade at scotts valley intermediate school. We had alot of fun times both at school and at his home off lockhart gulch - especially when we rode the bus!!! i wish i had known he was in boulder creek. It makes me wonder how many times i passed him or saw him and it just didn't register (i thought he was on a oil rig out of texas that was what someone had told me). To his family ~ he truly was funny and vibrant!!! i feel for your lose and my prayers will be with you. With the warmest of regards, janie.
